about

The Cycle is an album that centers on breaking the cycle of poverty and violence. Growing up in gang infested neighborhoods, and a home filled with domestic violence, the rapper/producer turned to making music to distract him from the pain. This is the story of the process that made the artist.

WordPlay T.JAY is now getting more personal and taking his music into spaces he hasn't traveled to. He delivers more melody with witty lyricism. Instead of giving the story verbatim he now takes you on a journey through his words. After decades of sitting in the pews the choirboy has grown up, grabbed a microphone, and taken control of his fate.

lyrics

Intro – Kid President
The World needs you to stop being boring
Yeah, You!
Boring is easy everyone can be boring
But you’re gooder than that!

Verse 1: WordPlay T.JAY
Aiight, here’s a formal introduction Mr. DOT
Pitching hits up in the air like it’s MLB
Putting plenty on the table now it’s you owe me
I make em shimmy shimmy ya like I’m ODB
OTMMG ya homie speaks motifs
I’m from the middle of the map and you too oblique
I know a bunch of red bloods that ain’t bout that beef
And I’m the leader of my crew so call me Chief no Keef
I get it loose no leaf homie you’re sucrose sweet
Looking like a super hero when I loop these beats
Now aw shucky shucky what you know bout me
If you ain’t working like I’m working then you’re without T
While you hyping up those lames I was sitting in the flames
Now Mufasa’s in the house and she’s playing with my mane
They checking for my name, Boy he ain’t really tame
All my lines are leveled up so I guess I’m super saying

Hook: x2
If you don’t hear me turn up x4
I’m bout to pop in a minute

Verse 2:
It’s been a long time coming but I’m near my mark
And I’ve been racing for a while but they ain’t hit my start
I’m on the rise thus far, and I just play my cards
And that liquor got em stuck man they Rosay parked
And I ain’t moving for you busters spending units on the clusters
Who you touching too disgusting when I whisper on percussion
Keep em lusting, cause I ain’t bout to cuff em
I already got a Dyson when I need a little suction
This is rap’s Sam Walton flipping lyrics like it’s Dolphins
It’s rap cyanide putting tracks up in the coffin, Aiight.
How you saying you’re the greatest they ain’t even talking
Cause I’ll never reach the peak if I ain’t started walking
cause I see my destination using motivation
And you’ll never see the charts by losing all your patients
Put it in perspective ain’t no second guessing
Holding on to the moment cause I’m so arresting

Hook:

Verse 3:
I meant to cramp your style when I put you on the cycle
Jesus Christ I done made you a disciple
Praying to the heavens that you’re girlfriend’s staying
And looking at an artist that the world made famous
Banksy flow I’m bout to paint these notes
Screaming show me the money when I bump this dope
This is wordplay t.jay he stays insane no brain
No gain, no change, so lame you need Rogaine
I’m super definition and you needing some nutrition
Search the kama sutra just to look up my position
I don’t wanna be like Kendrick, Cole or any of them niggas
I flow in the Maschine and I empty out my sickness
Some people think I’m finished and my 15s up
How the hell could I be done when I just warmed up
Hell I just made lunch so excuse my stunt
I done came too far and I don’t do no punts yeah.
